COLOR CORRECTION

LOBSTER TRAP

LOBSTER TRAP

Life gave lemons to many actors during the strike.  Charlie Statires decided to make lemonade with his wonderful short film Lobster Trap.   Written, directed by and starring Charlie.  The film follows a young man down on his luck and looking for an upside to life.

This film was shot on RED and that makes for a fun time in the color suite.  The raw format really give some room to push things around before they break.  Having an amazing cast is also a plus.  Such great work by everyone.

Lobster Trap

Is written, directed and starring Charlie Statires.  The film follows a young man down on his luck and looking for an upside to life.  The old coping mechanisms are not working anymore.  By chance he wakes up to a new day, in a new place and not very welcome.

Also starring a wonderful cast.  John Potvin plays the brother who gives him a push.  Braxton Hale plays the reluctant friend.  Gaby Santinelli plays the mother who has lost her pull.  Sylvia Hummel as the convenience store clerk. And Eric Charles Jorgenson plays the lobsterman.  While also co-producing with Charlie Statires

Color correction for narrative film can be so rewarding.  I enjoy taking a film to the next level visually.  That in turn raises all boats.  DaVinci Resolve Studio was used here at Massive Clouds for color correction of this wonderful short narrative film.
