CHASING THE MOON
Chasing the Moon, a six hour, three part series, reimagines the race to the moon for a new generation. The series recasts the Space Age as a fasciation stew of scientific innovation, political calculation, media spectacle, visionary impulses and personal drama.
Chasing the Moon is the third project I have worked on with director Robert Stone. He always brings a new prespective to our collective past. Chasing the Moon is no different. His bold choice of audio only interviews played well against the compelling visuals.

Chasing the Moon, a 6 hour, 3 part series, reimagines the race to the moon for a new generation. The series recasts the Space Age as a fasciating stew of scientific innovation, political calculation, media spectacle, visionary impulses and personal drama.
Utilizing a visual feast of previously overlooked and lost archival material, the film features a diverse cast of characters who played key roles in these historic events, including the late Michael Collins.
Color correction for documentary film is always a challenge. However the rewards can look really great. All color correction done with DaVinci Resolve and the video archival remastering done here at Massive Clouds.
